Why should you invest in an L-Bracket-based quick-release system?

Screwing your camera or lens onto a platform with standard ¼"-20 screw is tedious and insecure. Not only is it a hassle to screw your gear onto that platform, but once installed the camera or lens is free to rotate; there's nothing to prevent it from coming loose. All the JTec L-Bracket's fasten with a slotted screw quickly and easily.

Why invest your money in a tripod and tripod head only to compromise your shots with an insecure connection between camera and head?

Instead, use a quality tripod head with a quick release plate. A quick-release system has two parts: a quick-release clamp and a quick-release plate or L-Bracket. You always need both pieces of the system. The clamp will stay on your tripod head all the time, and the plate will stay on your camera all the time. You will need to purchase a separate quick-release plate for each camera or collared telephoto lens that you want to mount in the quick-release clamp on your tripod head. Our quick-release plates and L-brackets are based on the Arca-Swiss standard.The Arca-Swiss standard is a quick-release system that was developed by the Arca-Swiss company.

Camera Plate Tripod Mount

Quick and easy tripod mounting eliminates shake for detailed landscapes or architectural shots, while assisting you in acquiring perfect panoramas using Sony's Sweep Panorama® mode. More compact than an L-Bracket, JTec's Camera Plate allows tripod mounting in landscape position to an Arca-Swiss style tripod head. Our Camera Plate for the NEX-5 is designed to ensure there is no movement between the plate and camera body. Like all of our NEX-5 components, each is anodized in black or silver to match the body color of your camera.

Sony NEX-5 & NEX-5N
Cold Shoe Viewfinder Mount

End the need to hold your camera at arm's length by instantly attaching your favorite viewfinder to frame your perfect photo. Holding the camera to your eye is steadier, thus you'll shoot fewer blurry photos. And with a viewfinder, you not only have clear frame lines in view, but you also see around the frame lines—allowing you to quickly adjust your composition. This new configuration empowers you to excel in street and personal photography when using a fixed lens. The SONY NEX-5 & SONY NEX-5N Cold Shoe is available in anodized black or silver to complement your camera.

JTec's NEX-5 cold shoe is precision machined out of solid 6061 aluminum billet. After machining, the part is bead blasted and tumble deburred. It is then cleaned and anodized to match the surface of either the black or silver versions of the camera. We've found even reversing the color choice, rather than matching it to the camera, adds a nice look to the kit. The Cold Shoe fastens with a slotted screw quickly and easily.

Why should you invest in a Sony NEX-5 Cold Shoe Viewfinder Mount?
Combining the Cold Shoe with our Camera Plate or L-Bracket gives you a lightweight, compact camera ensemble with excellent street shooting ability and, tripod mounted, easy panoramas, landscapes or portraits shots.

Framing accuracy aside, using a viewfinder provides a super-bright viewing image, with a simple, uncluttered, very-bright frameline box (hence the reason viewfinders are known as "bright-line" finders). Most importantly, viewfinders work exceptionally well in dim light and also tend to provide greater eye relief—a real plus for spectacle or sunglass wearers.

How are viewfinders used? Slide them into our Cold Shoe, look at the camera's LCD to focus, or zone focus, then look through the accessory viewfinder to frame and compose. It can be a two-step process, but if you zone-focus, then you can skip the focus step.
