The NEX-5's powerful panoramic capabilities are best utilized with our Camera Plate or L-Bracket, which mount the camera to a tripod safely and securely. This means we increased the high resolution capabilities of your camera for panoramic landscapes, timed exposures and carefully posed portraits!

JTec didn't stop there!

Prior to our Cold Shoe, you would have found it impossible to mount an optical viewfinder to your camera. Solution? We made a Cold Shoe that fits in the flash mount—one that is easy to use for street photography.

"I wanted to mount my NEX-5 to a monopod for use during day hikes that I take, but I also wanted to be able to use the camera off the monopod. Screwing the camera on and off was time-consuming, plus the camera came loose and would move while setting up a picture. The JTec camera plate has been the perfect solution, because I can easily mount and remove my camera from the monopod clamp. In addition, the fact that the plate conforms to the camera means the plate is much more stable than directly screwing the camera to the monopod."

Quick and easy tripod mounting eliminates shake for detailed landscapes or architectural shots, while assisting you in acquiring perfect panoramas using Sony's Sweep Panorama® mode. More compact than an L-Bracket, JTec's Camera Plate allows tripod mounting in landscape position to an Arca-Swiss style tripod head. Our Camera Plate for the NEX-5 & NEX-5N is designed to ensure there is no movement between the plate and camera body. The screw that holds the Camera Plate can be tightened or loosened with a coin. Like all of our NEX-5 components, each is anodized in black or silver to match the body color of your camera.
